Table 19 - Shared printer description

Text Description

The manufacturer’s name of the printer.

Printer

The name of the shared printer used when

accessing it from a PC on the LAN/WLAN.

Share name

To give a network printer a specific name, type a name in the “Share name”

field and click Apply to save the setting.

Note: If a “Share name” has more than 12 characters or has embedded

spaces, the share will not be visible to Windows 95, 98 or ME

clients.

To access a shared printer from a PC using Windows 2000 or XP, follow

the instructions in section

– Access a Shared Printer. 3.3.4
